Shark Bay, May 25 - 27
Gerritsen Cove, May 25 - 26 167nm, 30hr sail
We finally made it out of the "confused sea" we'd had for thirty hours since the Abrolhos, and breathed a sigh of relief to round the corner of Steep Point into the calm waters of Shark Bay. I now refer to confused seas as "slam dunking" since that's what it felt like I was doing in the front cabin whilst trying to sleep. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to 'get air' whilst sleeping!
Quoin Bluff South, May 26 - 27 21nm, 3hr sail
We spent a day and night in Gerritsen Cove then moved up the East side of Dirk Hartog Island to Quoin Bluff South for another couple of days. Colin employed his most successful method of procuring fresh fish by asking our friends Ben and Belle "Have you had much luck fishing?" (which is a type of fishing in itself I'd say)
