Dampier Peninsula, June 25 - 29
Cape Baskerville, June 25 - 26 50nm, 10hr sail
Pender Bay, June 26 - 27 35nm, 8hr sail
Cape Leveque, June 27 - 29 30nm, 4.5hr sail
We spent our last night in Broome on the boat, waking early Wednesday and setting sail by 7.30am. Paul showed us all up by catching his first fish within 20 minutes, a Blue Fin Tuna!! (Still, it IS the reason we invited him :0)). I've certainly never had sashimi fresher than that!! He followed up soon after with a Spanish Mackerel.
On Wednesday I tried trawling for four and a half hours without luck, but we stopped at Middle Lagoon for a couple of hours and Monica and I hauled in snapper after snapper and sorted dinner out for tonight. Ha!
